Concept

The hardware custom-built for the OneCore system

OneCore is a data-agnostic platform for smart collection of various metrics from custom-made low-power sensors or devices. It supports both general-purpose hardware or specific embedded microcontrollers depending on the data required by the user.

Hardware with sensors appropriate for the use case, adequate power source, communication modem and minimum required interoperability (STM32L or ESP32 MCU) is implemented and strategically placed in the physical world where required.

All hardware is connected to the OneCore platform where it sends the data and receives instructions and updates via a secure communication link (WiFi / BT / LoRaWAN / 2G / 3G / GNSS). The platform securely receives data from the sensors at set intervals, collates the data, and prepares it for human processing.

The platform features a smart firmware over the air update system along with its own bootloader. Devices troubleshooting is also supported

The web system of the OneCore IoT platform

The OneCore platform features separate backend and frontend panels for safer and more efficient operation. All physical hardware can be managed and configured from a single panel with a high-level system overview.

User-friendly tabbed interface provides intuitive categorization of various features (map view, warnings, readings, averages) and data visualization. The entire frontend platform is white label and comes with multilingual support on desktop and mobile interfaces.

Depending on the capabilities of the implemented hardware, users can filter through the sensor data, create warning thresholds, notifications, triggers, and perform other management tasks (calibration, testing) in real-time. The data is stored for analysis and can be exported further.

Users can access the help files from within the platform or reach out to administrator via built-in contact functions. The OneCore system also supports reporting and provides a generous logging mechanism. Systems managed by the OneCore team are additionally supported via a ticketing system.

Features

Features and Functionalities of the OneCore

The OneCore System collects, stores, and processes all sensor data from connected hardware in accordance with user-defined parameters and requirements of the specific use case. The data is collected through communications equipment such as routers, modems or similar and stored onto a dedicated OneCore server from where it can be accessed.

The platform supports the creation of additional virtual sensors that use real-life data from physical devices to deliver more targeted measurements. This is especially important in use cases where sensors cannot be reliably placed at a target location or cannot measure certain parameters directly.

Raw data received from physical or virtual sensors can be further processed and manipulated via the use of math functions. This can prove especially useful when smoothing is required, or when a relationship between the physical measurement and required information is not linear.

The OneCore system can be accessed directly infield from a mobile device via an iOS and Android mobile apps. This simplifies operation, especially in time-critical scenarios or when operating in areas where carrying a laptop might be dangerous or impractical.

The full-featured control panel for the OneCore system is accessible from all modern web browsers. Every user receives their own log in and password for secure access and better accountability.

OneCore features a smart alarm system that can be customized to trigger at set thresholds, time intervals, irregularity, theft, or malfunction. The alarms are propagated to selected users and apps for quick response in case of an emergency.

OneCore is completely open-source and developed according to Open API specifications, allowing for easy interoperability and configuration. The entire platform can be set up and implemented on own infrastructure.
